One Person Injured in Fremont County Accident

(Fremont Co) One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Fremont County Friday evening.

The Iowa State Patrol says 31-year-old Casey Winstead of Fort Collins, Colorado, was transported to UNMC in Omaha via Life Flight with serious injuries. The accident happened at 5:52 p.m. at 120th Street and 380th Avenue. Winstead was driving a 2020 Honda 250R southbound on 380th Avenue and failed to stop for the stop sign. Winstead was struck by a 2015 GMC Yukon, driven by 31-year-old Vanessa Frank of Randolph.

The accident remains under investigation.
