(Iowa City, IA) – Former Hawkeye baseball player Gehrig Christensen is accused of gambling in more than 500 games. The NCAA is currently looking into the betting investigation that involves the twenty-year-old. His account was set up on the app, DraftKings, and was set up by his mother Jill Mingles. Those bets may have been mostly for other games outside of the University of Iowa, but 23 of them were placed on Iowa sports events. Over 26 Iowa University student-athletes have been flagged by the NCAA in the sports gambling investigation.
