(Atlantic) Natalie Behnken, and Dylan Comes were crowned King and Queen at the Cass County Fair on Thursday. Four Candidates were competing for King, and ten candidates were vying for Cass County Queen.
Natalie Behnken had this reaction when she was named Queen of the Cass County Fair.
Behnken is very active in 4H and the Community.
Natalie Behnken will advance to the Iowa State Fair, where she will compete statewide for the 2023 Iowa State Fair Queen Title.
Dylan Comes follows in his brother Tyler’s footsteps regarding Royalty at the Cass County Fair.
Comes is heavily involved in FFA.
The nine other queen candidates were Rachel Becker, Sydney Becker, Ryleigh Harrison, Cecilia Hensley, Rio Johnson, Claire Pellett, Natalie Scholl, Quincy Sorensen, and Trista Swain. The three other King candidates were Tristan Becker, Parker Brock, and Brett Dreager.
Fair Princess was Rio Johnson, and Fair Prince was Tristan Becker. Miss Congeniality went to Claire Pellett. Mr. Congeniality was awarded to Comes.
The judging criteria are based on leadership, citizenship within the community, poise, charm, appearance, personality, attitude, and ability to communicate openly with honesty about current youth issues.
The Cass County Fair runs through July 31.
