(Milo) Alivia Ruble tossed a no-hitter, and Lola Shriver’s two-run homer highlighted Southeast Warren’s 3-0 win over Exira/EHK in a Class 1A Regional Final at Milo on Monday night.
Ruble pitched a no-hitter and allowed just three base runners. The senior struck out nine and walked one batter.
Breanna Nolte singled in the bottom of the first inning and toured the base paths on a pair of overthrows to put the Warhawks up 1-0. The Warhawks added two more runs in the second inning. Lexi Clendenen drilled a single, and Shriver stepped up and belted a two-run shot over the left field fence to give the home team a 3-0 advantage.
Exira/EHK pitcher Riley Miller and the defense behind her held the Warhawks scoreless for the balance of the contest. Miller allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits, four strikeouts, and three walks.
Lexi Clendenen drilled two hits to lead the Warhawks. Shriver went yard, and Breanna Nolte and Natalie Geisler each hit singles.
Southeast Warren heads to the State Tournament at 25-6.
