(Des Moines) New data from the Social Security Administration show the most popular baby names by state for 2022. For newborn girls last year, the top five most popular baby names in Iowa were: Olivia, Charlotte, Ava, Amelia, and Emma. For newborn boys, the top five most popular names: Oliver, Liam, Theodore, Henry, and William. Iowa is fairly in line with national trends, as the most popular name in the country for newborn boys in 2022 was Liam, and for newborn girls–Olivia.
