(Washington, D.C.) — Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley reintroduces legislation that would increase funding in small police departments in Iowa. The Invest to Protect Act would provide a total of 50-million dollars over five years to law enforcement agencies with less than two hundred officers throughout the country. The bill also provides for an easy grant application process that can be completed by local staff within two hours.
