(Atlantic) Atlantic Schools Business Manager Sarah Sheeder submitted a resignation letter to the Atlantic School Board on Monday.
Sheeder has accepted a position as the shared School Business Official for the Adair-Casey and Guthrie Center School Districts. The Guthrie Center School Board approved the contract at Tuesday’s meeting.
Sheeder currently resides in the Guthrie Center School District, graduated from Guthrie Center High School, and her youngest son is now a freshman at AC/GC High School. Sheeder stated she is making a move to benefit her family.
Sheeder said, “Atlantic is an outstanding community, and I am grateful to have been a part of it for the past six years. She thanks the past and current board members and the many employees and community members who have supported and helped her through her time at the Atlantic School District. I am confident the district will continue to have outstanding student success for many years.
She would like to work with all three districts on a transition plan that will work for all of them.
