(Des Moines) The Atlantic High School and Middle School Teams competed well at the State Archery Tournament over the weekend at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines.
The High School squad finished fourth in the Bullseye Tournament with a team score of 3347 and fifth in the 3D Tournament shooting 1674. Hank Roberts finished fourth overall in the boy’s division in Bullseye field with a score of (291). Roberts scored the highest out of 99 freshmen in the competition. Carter Smith finished fifth overall in the 3D boy’s division with a score of 286.
The Middle School squad placed fourth in the 3D Tourney (1628) and tenth in the Bullseye Rounds with a 3347. In 3D, Grant Petty was runner-up in the boy’s division (283), and Michael Hocamp finished sixth with a (280). Lily Wilrich was tenth in the girl’s field. Additionally, Grant Petty was named to the 3D all-tournament team,
