(Atlantic) The Atlantic Archery Team swept the field at its tournament on Saturday.
The Trojans topped the Bullseye field with a (3319), Valley High School finished second with a (3314), Diagonal Junior-Senior High School, third (3208), Creston, fourth (3193), Orient-Macksburg Senior High school, fifth,(2949), and Christian Home Educators of Warren County, sixth, with (2843).
Two Atlantic players in the boy’s division finished in the top ten; Connor Johnson finished second with (287), and Hank Roberts was seventh with (283). Lily Johnson finished as the runner-up in the girl’s division with a (281), her score tied Lexi Henry from Creston, but Henry gets the nod on the criteria. Mariah Hadley was third for the Trojans with a (280), Quincy Sorensen fourth (279), and Halle Copeland finished in eighth place with (271).
Atlantic shot the high team score (1667) in 3D. Valley finished second with a (1659), Creston third (1557), and Nodaway Valley fourth (1384). Connor Johnson in the boy’s division and Halle Copeland for the girl’s won individual titles with (284), and (280), respectively. On the boy’s side, Hank Roberts finished third (281), and Carter Smith (279). Lily Johnson was the runner-up in the girl’s competition with a (277), Mariah Hadley, seventh (266), and Quincy Sorensen, eighth, with a score of (263).
The Atlantic Middle School Teams won both competitions. They shot a (1583) in 3D and (3097) in the Bullseye. Henry Roland and Jacoby Wood finished in the top ten. Roland and Wood finished seventh and eighth place, respectively, with (269’s). Rylan Martin finished eighth in the girl’s division (265), and Lily Wilrich was 10th (262).
Grant Petty led Atlantic in 3D with a runner-up score of (268). Jacoby Wood, third (267), Michael Hocamp, fifth (264), and Wyatt Hoover, tenth, with (256).
Wilrich won the girl’s division with a (268), and Martin finished third with a (260).
