(Atlantic) The Atlantic Girls’ basketball team is midway through the second week of practice.
The team is led by the two all-conference players from a year ago, Jada Jensen and Payton Harder. Jensen averaged 12.6 points per game, Harder, 13.5.
Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason says Kiera Olson and Maddie Huddleson are also back in the lineup.
Vargason says senior Aubrey Guyer is playing with a lot of confidence.
Coach Vargason says the other prospects that will figure into the mix are Abbi Richter, Maddie Richter, Claire Pellett, and Avery Knuth. Vargason mentioned a talented roster of 13 players making up the freshmen team.
The Trojans open the regular season at Denison on Tuesday, November 22. We will have the broadcast at 95.7 F.M. The tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
