(Logan) Despite recent rainfall, an open burning ban remains in place for Harrison County. The Emergency Management Office issued a release on Friday afternoon stating the burn ban will remain in effect until conditions significantly improve.
The area received more than a half inch of rainfall overnight on Thursday. However, Harrison County remains in a very high fire danger. Fire departments in the county have responded to 11 fires over the past week.
The burn ban has been in place since October 28th. All open burning in Harrison County including all incorporated city limits within the county is prohibited.
