(Des Moines, IA) — A UTV driver dies after a collision with a SUV near east 16th Street and Hull Avenue in north Des Moines. The Des Moines police and fire departments responded to the scene yesterday morning to find a 68-year-old man in critical condition. He was transported by medics to a local hospital and later died from his injuries. Police say the UTV was going north on east 16th, turning onto Hull Avenue, and into the path of the eastbound SUV. The crash marks Des Moines’ 17th traffic-related fatality of the year.
