(Anita) CAM and Fremont-Mills square off in a traditional season opener on Friday. The Cougars enter the season on the heels of a state championship season.
CAM must replace some key players from a year ago’s championship run, and they also have some key players returning from last year.

Coach Bower expects the Knights to bring a physical front line to the game at CAM on Friday night. The top leading rusher Braxton Blackburn returns this season after rushing for 1,000 yards in 2021. Payten VanHouten returns after rushing for 657 yards to make a good one-two-punch. Senior receiver Taylor Reed is back after catching 20-passes for 456-yards, and Owen Thornton returns to the lineup after hauling in 13 passes for 139 yards.
The Kick-off is at 7:00 p.m. at Anita.
