(State) All-State teams for girls soccer have been released by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. The complete list can be found HERE.
Atlantic has two second team all-state selections in Class 2A. Forward Jada Jensen and Midfielder Aubrey Guyer represent the Trojans on the all-state list.
The 2A first team includes Forward Hana Daoudi (Lewis Central). Second team picks include Forward Nora Dougherty (Glenwood), Midfielders Ava Scott (Glenwood) and Whitlee Auen (Denison-Schleswig), defenders Della Wiseman (Winterset/Earlham) and Lauren Roenfeldt (Glenwood) and goalie Grace Nightser (Glenwood).
Forwards from area conferences on the Class 1A first team are Eden Moore (Van Meter), Jenna Roberts (DM Christian), and Miranda Ring (Tri-Center). First team Midfielders are Isabel Garcia (DM Christian), Lily Krohn (St. Albert), Marissa Ring (Tri-Center), and Sami Webster (DM Christian). Making the first team as defenders are Laura Wurdemen (Tri-Center) and Lola Paulson (Underwood).
The Class 1A second team has Forwards Clara Teigland (Treynor), Ella Klusman (St. Albert), Georgia Paulson (Underwood), Raegen Wicks (Harlan), and Tieler Hull (Underwood). Midfielders are Mariah Nolting (Logan-Magnolia), Raegan Ward (Underwood), and Sadie Schaaf (Treynor). The Defenders on the 1A second team are Anna Helton (St. Albert), Clare Kelly (Van Meter), Joslyn Helgens (DM Christian), and Megan McGuire (DM Christian). Tri-Center’s Preslie Arbaugh and DM Christian’s Maren Miller are second team Goalies.
Abraham Lincoln’s Hanna Shimmer (Forward) and Paige Bracker (Defender) made the first team in Class 3A. AL’s Lexy Mayo made the second team as a Defender.
DM Christian’s Dan Webster won the Class 1A Coach of the Year honor. The Class 3A Coach of the Year went to Abraham Lincoln’s Robbie Miller.
