(Marshalltown, IA) — The family of a man who died of COVID has filed a lawsuit against the company that owns the meatpacking plant where he worked.
Jose Andrade-Garcia was one of 2,700 workers at the Marshalltown plant when the virus spread. Andrade-Garcia had worked there for JBS USA for two decades.
The families of four workers at the Tyson meatpacking plant in Waterloo have also filed lawsuits in their deaths.
