(Des Moines) The Iowa House last week passed Senate File 2245, which creates a personal use exception to the licensing provisions in the Iowa Meat and Poultry Inspection Act based on two such exemptions in the federal acts regarding their inspections of meat animals.

The bill passed by a vote of 94-0.
The Iowa House also passed House File 2566, which appropriates the remaining funds in the Sports Wagering Receipts Fund to the county Endowment Fund of the 88 counties without casinos. Taxes collected on internet fantasy sports and sports wagering will be deposited to the County Endowment Fund. The bill passed by a vote of 87-6.
