(Atlantic) The curtain opens on Friday Night for the Atlantic High School’s spring play. This year’s production is “The One-Act Play that goes Wrong.”
Atlantic High School Language Arts teacher and Drama Director Brandon Baggett says this is a play inside of a play.
Mr. Baggett chose this production for several reasons, it’s funny, the show lasts for about an hour and 15-minutes, and it’s a good fit for the actors he has on stage.
Senior Katy Rothfusz has one of the lead roles in this production. She is playing Chris, whose role is the Inspector in the play.
Rothfusz says this is the funniest production the Atlantic High School Theater Department has performed in a long time.
Senior Nolan Perez says this play is unique because the actors play two characters simultaneously.
The play is about a death at a country manor, and everyone is a suspect, and the actors and crew battle against all odds to make it through to the final curtain call, with hilarious consequences.
The play runs Friday and Saturday night, starting at 7:00 p.m., although Mr. Baggett recommends people come a little early for some pre-play activity. The final show is on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
