(Atlantic) The Cass County Board of Supervisors is starting the process to appoint a new County Auditor. After 37-years of serving as an elected official, Dale Sunderman announced his retirement as County Auditor on Wednesday morning. Sunderman’s last day on the job is April 15.
Cass County Supervisor Chairman Steve Baier says the position will be posted and applications accepted for about two weeks.
The individual selected will fill out Sunderman’s term, which ends at the end of this year.
Steve Baier says Dale Sunderman has been an excellent Auditor, a mentor to other Auditor’s in southwest Iowa over the years.
