(Anita) A Cass County man suffered serious injuries in a head-on collision west of Anita.
Cass County Deputy Kyle Quist says at approximately 8:40 a.m. on Saturday, Cass County Communications received a 911 call of a head-on collision on Dallas Road between 730th and 740th Street.
Quist says a white 2008 Chevy pickup driven by Brent J. Asberry of Exira, collided with a grey 2015 Chevy Malibu driven by Dennis C. Wahlert of Anita.
Anita Fire and Rescue and Cass County EMS freed Mr. Wahlert from the vehicle wreckage. Lifeflight transported Wahlert from the scene. Asberry sustained minor injuries and was not transported.
Asberry received a citation for failure to yield half of the roadway.
The Iowa State Patrol assisted the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
