(Glenwood) Atlantic/CAM captured the District Wrestling Tournament Title at Glenwood on Saturday with 124 points and six state qualifiers. Carroll finished second with 77-points, with four state qualifiers, Clarinda ended up third with 72-points, and four state qualifiers, Creston fourth, qualifying three to the state tourney, and Greene County ended up in fifth with three heading to state. The top two individuals in each weight class advance to the state tournament.
For Atlantic/CAM Aiden Smith, (106), and Kadin Stutzman, (170) won district titles. Ethan Follman, (126), Easton O’Brien, (132), Brian South, (152), and Brendan Casey, (195) qualified as district runners-up. Video interviews with the six qualifiers will be posted on Sunday.
Carroll’s four qualifiers are Dreylen Schweitzer, (106), Cael Nelson, (120), Carter Drake, (138), and Sterling Rodman, (170).
Clarinda’s state-bound individuals are; Kale Downey, (145), Karson Downey,( 160), Jase Wilmes, (182), and Logan Greene, (285).
Creston’s qualifiers are; Austin Evans, (138), Triston Barncastle, (145), and Quinton Fuller, (285).
Greene County’s three state qualifiers are; Kale Peterson, (120), McKinley Robbins, (132), and Gavin Scheuerman, (152).
Glenwood qualifies Vinny Mayberry, (113), Matthew Beem (126), and C.J. Carter, (195).
SWI sends, Seth Ettleman, (113), Red Oak, Dawson Bond, (160), Harlan, Zane Bendorf, (182), Central Decatur, Tegan Carson, (220), and Clarke, qualifies Tyler Binning, (220).
