(Atlantic) Atlantic Police arrest two people on burglary charges.
Atlantic Police Chief Dave Erickson says officers were dispatched on Sunday evening to investigate a broken front store window at 200 Chestnut Street.
Arriving officers found a large window broken out and blood on the concrete. Police traced the blood trail from the scene to a residence at Cedar Street in Atlantic and located, 26-year old River Pecha-Nichols, and 19-year old Michael Gehling.
Officers arrested Pecha-Nichols and Gehling for 3rd – degree burglary, 2nd-degree criminal mischief, and 3rd – degree theft. There were no injuries. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Atlantic Police Department.
