(Atlantic) At Wednesday’s Atlantic City Council Meeting Atlantic Police Chief Dave Erickson announced his plans to retire after 25 and a half years on the Atlantic Police force, of that time he served five and a half years as Atlantic’s Police Chief.
Atlantic Mayor Grace Garrett read Chief Erickson’s resignation letter.
Atlantic Mayor Grace Garrett says they are beginning the process and preparing for the future.
Chief Erickson says it’s time to step down and let some of the younger generations take over. Under his watch, he oversaw numerous kids’ programs, which led to the public’s positive perception of the Atlantic Police Force.
Chief Erickson’s last day on the job is on March 31.
