(Red Oak) A sleepy driver is blamed for a three-vehicle accident in Red Oak.
Mahlon Richardson of Red Oak drives a 2011 Kia Sorento stated he fell asleep at the wheel and struck a parked 2012 Honda Civic causing it to hit a 1998 Chevy pickup. Red Oak Police say the accident happened at 4:41 p.m. on Saturday in the 1200 block of North 8th Street. Officers reported no injuries.
Eggleston towing towed the Honda Civic and Chevy pickup away from the scene. The pickup received $200.00 damage, and the KIA received an estimated $5,000.00. The Honda Civic is a total loss.
Officers cited Richardson for Failure to Maintain Control.
