(Red Oak) A distracted driver is blamed for a two-vehicle accident in Elliott. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at 5:57 a.m. at 110th And Elm Street. The drivers are minors, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is not releasing their names.
According to the report, one vehicle rear-ended the other stopped in the westbound lane waiting to make a left-hand turn. Authorities point to the use of a cellphone causing the car to strike the other. No one suffered injuries in the crash.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reminds drivers to put down their cellphones while driving and always be aware of vehicles around them.
