(Cass Co.) The Cass County Board of Supervisors will place a resolution for vacation of a portion of roadway (570th Street at I-80) back on the table at their meeting Tuesday morning.
If the County would choose to close that roadway, the County would receive money from the DOT to use for other bridge projects. Scott Suhr, with the DOT, had explained during the public hearing on October 29th that about six years ago the DOT did a study of Interstate 80 from the Nebraska border to the Illinois border and as part of that study one of the things they looked at were low volume roadways over or under the Interstate that they could close because of the high cost of the construction of a bridge.
Other action items on the agenda include compensation for precinct election officials, compensation for medical examiner expenses, approving a contract with Motorola for the ISICS project, establish a Cass County Economic Development fund, establish a debt service fund for the ISICS project; discussion and possible action on American Rescue Plan funding, and board and commission appointments to fill vacancies and those appointments to be made or renewed in January 2022.
The meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
