A Wind Advisory is in effect from 9 p.m. this evening to 6 p.m. Friday for the following counties in southwest Iowa: Audubon, Guthrie, Cass, Adair, Harrison, Shelby, Pottawattamie and Mills.
The National Weather Service says west to northwest winds will be 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
