(Atlantic) Cass County Auditor Dale Sunderman says the Mayoral runoff election is November 30. Tim Teig and Grace Garrett, the top two vote-getters in the field, will go head-to-head for the seat.
Teig received 523 votes, or 42.45 percent, Garrett, 463-votes, or 37.58-percent. Kathy Somers received165 votes and Pat McCurdy mustered 80 votes. City Code states when multiple candidates are in the race, the winner must receive 50-plus one vote to earn the seat in the City Elections.

The polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. The Cass County Auditors Office says the public can now request absentee ballots.
A familiar face will return to the City Council on January 1. Former City Councilman Dana Halder defeated incumbent Dick Casady, 168, to 141.
Harlan Sisco running unopposed for the open seat in Ward 2, received 111 votes. Incumbent City Councilman Gerald Brink running unopposed for City Council at large, received 993 votes.
