Illinois Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Western Iowa

(Sloan) An Illinois man died from injuries in a motorcycle accident in Monona County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the crash happened at around 4:34 p.m. on northbound Interstate 29 near the 125.5-mile marker. Authorities say 68-year old Steven Egan of Joliet, Illinois died from his injuries.

According to the report, Egan lost control of the 2010 Harley Davidson on a curve. The motorcycle entered the median, ejecting Egan.
