(Shelby Co.) Shelby County Emergency Management says Regional Water is starting to pump water into the water towers but there is a chance that the water shortage will continue. All customers with accounts beginning with A, C, CO, W, T, K, or P are affected. Water conservation is imperative for all people in the effected area. HyVee is donating over 100,000 bottles of water to those who are in need. Local fire departments will be picking up the water and will have it available for any residents who are out of water. They will require you to show photo ID when picking up the water to ensure that you live in the affected area.
The boil order will remain in effect until further notice.
There will be daily briefings on the situation throughout the entirety of the event and they will happen in the morning and in the afternoon.
