(Marne) Rescue crews responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in the westbound lanes near the 49-mile marker. The accident happened just after 5:40 p.m.
According to dispatch reports, the accident involved an SUV and a semi. Both vehicles ended up in the north ditch. One person was transported to the ball field in Walnut and then airlifted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Traffic was able to continue in the left lane while emergency crews attended to the accident.
