(Atlantic) The Cass County Board of Supervisors discussed Cyber Security Services at their meeting this morning.
Supervisor Steve Green said he spoke to their Insurance Agent and he said it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when they could get attacked and he was very much behind the County enhancing their cyber security. Green said it would take nothing for somebody to appear as an email from ISAC and take down 20 counties.
The Board agreed to move forward with implementing the cyber security program.
In other news, the Supervisors approved a resolution increasing operating transfers and amending expense appropriations for FY2021. Cass County Auditor Dale Sunderman…
The Supervisors also approved the appointment of Trevor Becker to the Cass County Zoning Board of Adjustment.
The Supervisors authorized the Auditor to request funds from the American Rescue Plan. The Board will need to figure out how they are going to appropriate the funds.
And, Cass County Emergency Management Director Mike Kennon told the Supervisors that the state is pushing out their final load of Personal Protection Equipment. Kennon said he will be heading to Council Bluffs on Tuesday to get the county’s final allotment of PPE for the county stockpile.
