(Atlantic) Atlantic Head Coach Kathy Hobson says her team will have to shoot somewhere in the 390s to advance to the State Golf Tournament. Atlantic hosts a Class 3A Regional Tournament at Nishna Hill Golf Course today.
The field consists of ADM, Atlantic, Ballard, Bondurant-Farrar, Clarke, Creston, Glenwood, North Polk, Perry, Saydel, and Winterset. Hobson feels like five teams will be the primary scoring teams.
Coach Hobson is seeing some steady improvement from her squad throughout the year. Hobson notes playing on your home course can be an advantage, but it could also be a detriment in some cases as well.
The top two teams and top six individuals advance to the 3A State Tournament. The tournament starts at 10:00 a.m.
