(Atlantic) Atlantic Mayor Dave Jones will not be running for another term. Mayor Jones announced his intentions at Wednesday’s City Council meeting.
Mayor Jones says he started tossing the idea around back in January and decided not to run again after 12-years as a City Councilman and 12-years as the Mayor.
“It’s been a rewarding job, and we accomplished a lot in the past 24-years,” stated Mayor Jones. “Upgrading the Park System was one of the number one things on my list. I wanted to get this out there, people are talking, and it’s open.”
“You’ve done a lot, and we appreciate it,” stated Councilman Pat McCurdy.
