(Bayard) Two people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Guthrie County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 8:02 p.m. on Justice Road north of 140th Street. Authorities identified the injured individuals as 23-year old Kaleb Michael Borders of Copperas Cove, Texas, and 60-year old Steven Kevin Derry of Audubon.
State Police said a northbound 2009 Chevy Silverado pickup driven by Borders struck the rear of a northbound 1970 International 856 Tractor driven by Derry.
Mercy One transported Borders to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Bayard Fire transported Derry to the Audubon County Memorial Hospital.
The Guthrie and Greene County Sheriff’s Office’s, Adair Fire, and Mercy One assisted the Iowa State Patrol.
