(Carson) The City of Carson has issued a Water Boil Advisory.
The Carson Water System experienced a mechanical malfunction at the wells resulting in a city-wide low pressure or no water condition throughout.
Citizens should boil water until further notice and water tests come back clear.
Boil Order Advisory: Bring tap water to rolling boil, boil for one minute and cool before using. Or, used bottled water for sale from local vendors. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and preparing food until further notice.
This is a precautionary measure required by the State for public safety.
Harmful microbes in drinking water can cause diarrhea, cramps, nausea, headaches, or other symptoms and may pose a special health risk for infants, some elderly, and people with severely compromised immune systems. Note, these symptoms are not only caused by microbes in drinking water. If you experience any of these symptoms and they persist, you should seek medical advice.
