(Greenfield) The Greenfield City Council accepted a letter of resignation from City Councilman Joshua Nelson at their meeting Monday evening. Greenfield City Clerk Becky Haase said the Mayor will appoint a new Council Member at their next meeting. The City will also publish notice that if citizens would like to request a special election they will have the ability to do so.
In other news, Haase said the Council approved an as-needed mowing quote. Haase noted that the City changed their mowing ordinance this last year to state that if residential grass is eight inches or taller on the 1st or 15th of the month, May through October, the City would go in and mow it at cost of $75 per hour plus a $100 administrative fee.
The Council also approved authorizing and approving an amended loan and disbursement agreement and providing for the issuance and securing the payment of sewer revenue improvement and refunding bonds. Becky Haase said this is for the sponsored project at the sports complex.
The Council also approved the purchase of ammo for the police department so they can recertify at the range.
