(Corning) The Adams County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 16-year old male and a 17-year old male in connection with two vehicle break-ins on Sunday, and Monday.
The Adams County Authorities arrested the teens each on four counts of trafficking stolen weapons, two counts of 3rd-degree burglary from a vehicle, and 5th-degree theft. Officers released the 16-year old male to his parents. Authorities transported the 17-year old male to the Eldora Detention Center.
In a separate case, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year old Damion Cappello, of Winterset following a traffic stop for speeding on Highway 34. During the stop, deputies located a controlled substance. Officer’s charged Cappello with OWI, 2nd Offense, driving while barred, and possession of a controlled substance. His passenger, 19-year old Callysta Lage-Guttormson of West Des Moines, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, 1st offense, and allowing an unauthorized driver to drive. Authorities transported both subjects to the Adams County Jail.
In a separate case on April 28, Adams County Deputies arrested 37-year old Jarod Brown of Corning. Brown’s arrest stemmed from an investigation leading to the charges of Lascivious Acts with a Child and Drug Distribution to persons under the age of 18. Officer’s transported Brown to the Adams County Jail and held him on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
