Two Hurt in Pottawattamie County Crash

(Minden) Two people suffered injuries in a single vehicle crash in Pottawattamie County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 12:48 p.m. on Thursday, on westbound Interstate 80 near the 27-mile marker. The Patrol says 20-year old Austin Hatfield of Wilbur, Nebraska, and 30-year old Kodie Smith, of Ridgeway, Missouri, sustained injuries in the crash.

According to the report, a westbound 1999 Ford Ranger driven by Hatfield lost control, left the road, rolled, and came to rest upright in the ditch.

LifeNet transported Hatfield to UNMC. Minden Rescue transferred Smith to Mercy Hospital.
