(Sidney) A Nebraska man died in a two-vehicle crash in Fremont County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 1:45 p.m. Monday on Highway 2 near the one-mile marker. State Police say 47-year old Michael A. Cox of Ravenna, Nebraska was killed in the crash.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Cox was driving an eastbound 2020 Chevy Silverado pickup and crossed the centerline striking the rear duals of a westbound semi driven by 35-year old Nathaniel J. Pegelow of Salisbury, Missouri. The impact caused the left front tire of the pickup to strike a westbound SUV driven by 24-year old Veronica Marie Barreto Rosa, from Lincoln, Nebraska. The pickup ended up in the ditch. The semi and SUV came to rest on the roadway.
