(Underwood) Woodbine edged Underwood for the team title at the Underwood Boy’s Eagles Relays on Friday.
Woodbine scored 110-points, Underwood, 100-points, and CAM finished third with 77-points, Audubon, 4th, 54, Logan-Magnolia, and Tri-Center finished in a tie for 5th with 34, AHSTW, seventh, 30, Riverside and Missouri Valley tied for eighth, 28, Sidney, 10th, 27, West Harrison, 11th, 26, West Central Valley, 12th, 18, Fremont-Mills, 13th, 17, and Exira-EHK, 6.00.
Lane Spieker of CAM won the 100 Meters in a time of (11.74), Brayden Wollan, Underwood earned gold in the 200 meters, (22.59), and Spieker, was 2nd, (23.41). Brett McGee, Tri-Center topped the field in the 400-meters, (54.33), Cale Mass, CAM, 2nd, (54.55). Gavin Smith of Audubon earned gold in the 110-Meter Hurdles, (16.16), CAM’s Sam Foreman and Jack Follman finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. Brandon Jensen of Audubon snapped the tape in the 400 Meter Hurdles, in (59.72), and Sam Foreman, CAM, second, (1:00.14).
Woodbine’s Nathan Colwell, and Cameron Cline finished one-two in the 800 meters, (2:15.06, and 2:22.44). Langden Bendgen, of Tri-Center, topped the field in the 1600 Meters in a time of (4:54.75), and Ben Schroeder, Riverside, won the 3200 meters, in (11:03.97).
Underwood won the 4×200, 4×800, and Sprint Medley Relays. CAM won the Shuttle Hurdle Relay, Woodbine outran the competition in the 4×100 and 4×400, and Missouri Valley outdistanced the rest of the pack in the 1600 Meter Medley Relay.
In the field events, Lane Pryor of Woodbine won both throwing events, Lane Spieker, CAM, won the Long Jump (20-07.50), and Matthew Benedict of Woodbine won the High Jump, (6-01.00). Pryor tossed the Shot, (52-00) feet, and heaved the discuss, (164-04) feet.
