(Sidney) A Missouri woman suffered injuries in a Fremont County accident.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Wednesday at 4:32 p.m. on Highway 2 and 195th Street. Authorities say 61-year old Barbara Simmons of Fairfax, Missouri, was injured in the accident.
An eastbound 2014 Chevy Cruze driven by Simmons rear-ended a 2008 Ford Expedition driven by 61-year old Tad Nenneman of Sidney, who was stopped at the intersection waiting to turn left from Highway 2 onto 195th Street. The impact caused the Expedition to come to rest in the ditch. The Chevy Cruze came to a stop on the traveled portion of the road.
Sidney Rescue transported Simmons to the CHI Hospital in Nebraska City.
