(Area) The National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory for all of western central and southwest Iowa from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. today.
Forecasters call for southwest winds of 25-35 miles per hour with gusts up to 50-miles per hour, mainly west of Interstate 35.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, tree limbs could be blown down, and resulting in some power outages. With these windy conditions and relative humidity falling below 35-percent this afternoon, there will be elevated fire danger across portions of southwest Iowa.
Those counties included in the Red Flag Warning are; Adair, Adams, Audubon, Cass, Guthrie, Fremont, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, and Taylor Counties.
