(Red Oak) A driver and a passenger suffered possible injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Montgomery County.
The Red Oak Police Department says the accident happened at 5:49 p.m. on Friday, at Highway 34 and Highway 48. Red Oak EMS transported one of the drivers, 22-year old Halea Pearl Brandon, and her passenger, 33-year old Michael L. Meyer, both from Lenox, who suffered injuries in the accident.
Police say an eastbound 2009 Mazda on Highway 34 and driven by Halea Brandon failed to stop at Highway 34 and Highway 48 and broadsided a 2011 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Dwayne Clayton Hurt, who was already in the intersection heading north on Highway 48.
The damage to both the car and pickup totaled at or above $4,000.
