(Sidney) A 14-year old juvenile crashed during a vehicle pursuit in Fremont County.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says the incident started at 1:20 a.m. on Sunday when a Deputy attempted to stop a blue Ford Explorer traveling southbound with no headlights near Shenandoah. The Ford Explorer driven by the 14-year old sped off, leading law enforcement eastbound on West Nishna Road at speeds of 100 miles per hour. The juvenile lost control of the Ford Explorer near 200th Street and B Avenue. The vehicle entered the ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its’ passenger side. Officer’s detained the boy at the scene and transported him to the Juvenile Detention Center in Council Bluffs. The driver, identified as a male juvenile from Essex, took his mother’s vehicle while she slept.
The Shenandoah Police Department and the Page County Sheriff’s Office assisted Fremont County Deputies.
