(Mount Ayr) Riverside was the top wrestling team in a condensed version of the Ron Scott Duals at Mount Ayr on Saturday. The Bulldogs picked up wins over Harlan, Martensdale-St. Marys, Central Decatur, Mount Ayr, and Shenandoah.
In a 44-30 victory against Harlan, pins were earned by Kaeden Pleas and Ethan Reicks. Winning by major decision were Eddie Vlcek and John Schroder. Decision wins came out of Kaiden Hendricks and Nathan Messerschmidt.
They topped Martensdale-St. Marys 52-28. John Schroder and Nolan Moore each won by fall and Jace Rose won a major decision.
The final score against Central Decatur was 57-24. Brody Zimmerman and Ethan Reicks won by fall. Nolan Moore won by decision.
Kaiden Hendricks and Jace Rose registered pins in a 43-31 win over Mount Ayr. John Schroder won a major decision and Nolan Moore won by decision. Moore’s victory was by a 3-2 score over 6th rated Trae Ehlen.
Riverside beat Shenandoah 60-15 with pins from Brody Zimmerman and Kaiden Hendricks.
