(Atlantic) During January, Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, Cass County Public Health’s Care for Yourself Program is raising awareness of resources available to women in southwest Iowa.
Victoria Means, Care for Yourself Program Coordinator, said routine screenings are key to early detection of breast and cervical cancers.
Victoria Means said in general a woman may qualify if she is over 50, doesn’t have insurance, or is just struggling to pay for their well-woman exams or mammograms.
To see if you qualify for the free to low cost cancer screenings, call Victoria Means at 712-243-7443.
