(Shambaugh) One person was transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident in Page County on Monday.
The Page County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at West and 4th Streets in Shambaugh at approximately 10:46 a.m. The investigation showed that 66-year-old Ruby Pearl Hanson, of Shambaugh, was driving a 2002 Dodge pickup northbound on West Street south of the intersection with 4th Street. 79-year-old Paul Melvyn Dow, of College Springs, was driving a 2007 Dodge pickup eastbound on 4th Street west of the intersection with West Street. The vehicles collided in the intersection.
Damage to the Hanson vehicle is estimated at $600. The vehicle was drivable. Damage to the Dow vehicle is estimated at $3,000. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Snyder’s Towing per Dow’s request.
77-year-old Joetta Dow of College Springs, a passenger in Paul Dow’s vehicle, was transported to Clarinda Regional Health Center by private vehicle with unknown injuries.
