(Atlantic) The Cass County Board of Supervisors approved a contract budget amendment for additional funding for the COVID-19 Mobile Food For All program at their meeting this morning.
Brigham Hoegh, Wellness Coordinator, said they are at the end of their grant funding they received from the Iowa Economic Development Authority. The funding was used to assist with food delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hoegh told the Supervisors that she spoke with the Iowa Economic Development Authority and they said it was allowable that they ask for a budget amendment and contract extension.
Hoegh said she would be asking for an additional $40,000 in funding and an extension through the end of 2021.
Hoegh said she would draft the letter that the Board will need to sign.
In other news, the Supervisors approved an easement across Cass County property for access to the Lewis Wastewater Lagoon.
