Rex Noland, 78, of Adair, Iowa, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020, at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Hockenberry Family Care in Adair, IA. State mandates only allow 15 people in a public setting at any given time, social distancing must be followed, and masks are mandatory.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the United Methodist Church in Adair, with burial in Sunnyhill Cemetery in Adair.
Memorials may be left to the family’s wishes to be designated at a later date.
Rex Noland is survived by; his wife, Connie Noland, Adair, and son’s; Tom (Annette) Noland, of Adair, Rob Noland, Baton Rouge, Louisianna, and Jamie (Britnee) Noland, from Adair. Sisters; Jean (Jim) Bireline, of Adair, and Sandra Lundy, of Adair.
Rex Noland, 78, of Adair, Iowa, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020, at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Rex was born January 7, 1942, in Adair, Iowa, to Charles and Dora (Hall) Noland. He attended school in Adair and graduated from the Adair-Casey High School in 1960.
In October of 1963, he joined the US Army, serving for two years and was discharged in 1965.
Rex married Connie Kay Brown on September 25, 1966, in Casey, Iowa.
He was the owner and operator of Noland Feed & Fertilizer in Adair for 33 years, retiring in 2003.
Rex was a member of the United Methodist Church in Adair, a member of the Exchange State Bank Board, and president of the Adair Commercial Club in 1973.
Rex helped with the local FFA chapter and the local 4-H groups. His hobby was helping other people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dora Noland and his brother-in-law, Neil Lundy.
Rex is survived by his wife, Connie Noland of Adair, IA; three sons, Tom (Annette) Noland of Adair, IA, Rob Noland of Baton Rouge, LA, and Jamie (Britnee) Noland of Adair, IA; four grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Nelsen of Carroll, IA, Gage Noland of Adair, IA, Talon and Nile Noland of Adair, IA; two sisters, Jean (Jim) Bireline of Adair, IA and Sandra Lundy of Adair, IA; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
