(Red Oak) Red Oak City officials are making progress on nuisance work.
City Administrator Brad Wright reported to the Council on Monday night of two houses scheduled for demolition on Corning Street. Wright says they are in the process of taking bids for asbestos abatements on the properties, followed by demolition. Wright says the two nuisance properties are located side-by-side on the 100 block of Corning Street.
In other business, the City Council approved a Class LC-V alcohol license for the Buck Snort at 322 East Coolbaugh Street. Following a public hearing, the Council also adopted the code of ordinances for the City of Red Oak.
The Council also passed a resolution accepting the work of Vicker Drilling on a Fourth Street water main replacement project and a pay request of $4,311.89.
